How the test works

Each test is a full IELTS Speaking test with Emma, your examiner: a short introduction, Part 1 (12 questions about you), Part 2 (a one-minute plan, then a talk of up to two minutes), and Part 3 (6 discussion questions). It takes about 12 to 15 minutes. At the end you can get an estimated band score.

Tip: Find a quiet room and keep the phone or laptop about an arm's length away. The microphone starts by itself after each question.
